Farm Background:
Equality Roast is sourced from Cooperativa Agraria Fuente de Bendicion, a small grower cooperative in San Juan Del Rio Coco, Nicaragua. Founded in 2016, Fuente de Bendicion’s goal is to promote sustainable agricultural practices among its members. The cooperatives’ 24 members have worked hard to improve their flavor profiles to gain access to the specialty coffee market and earn higher premiums. San Juan del Rio Coco is becoming one of the new regions within Nicaragua where the coffee industry is expanding. The region offers many excellent conditions for the production of high-end coffees, but is less known than the most traditional regions like Matagalpa and Jinotega.
