Since 2014, Grounds For Health has worked in Ethiopia, the country considered by many as the origin of coffee, to integrate high quality cervical cancer screening and preventative therapy services at local health facilities. Ethiopia is located in a region with the highest morbidity and mortality from cervical cancer in the world. An estimated 12,965 Ethiopian women are newly diagnosed and roughly 7,089 women die each year from cervical cancer. The purchase of this coffee drives real change.
